Co-operation, unity, reconciliation,
acceptance, partnership, concord, understanding: the handshake can be symbolic
of all of these. When this sculpted handshake on a gravestone at my local
cemetery caught my eye this afternoon it seemed to me to embody everything I
hope for in our world in 2017.
